Formula 1 betting
An F1 bet can cover qualifying, a Grand Prix or the full season. London.bet lists separate markets for race winners, podium finishes, driver matchups, pole position and the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships. The current Formula 1 betting schedule shows the motorsport betting options available for each event.
You can bet on F1 before the race weekend or follow selected events through F1 live betting once the action begins. The market title identifies whether a price covers a session, one Grand Prix or the season. A race quote is separate from a championship outright, even when the same driver appears in both. The complete sports betting schedule covers Formula 1 and London.bet's other available sports.
How does F1 betting change through a race weekend?
Practice, qualifying and the Grand Prix reveal different information about the cars and drivers. Sprint weekends add another competitive session, so check whether a market covers qualifying, the Sprint or the main race.
Common Formula 1 bets include:
- Race winner, where you choose the driver who will win the Grand Prix.
- Podium finish, which requires the selected driver to finish in the top three.
- Pole position, based on the qualifying result stated in the market.
- Fastest lap, where you back the driver who records the quickest race lap under the market rules.
- Driver head-to-head, which compares the finishing positions of two named drivers.
- Top 6 or Top 10 finish, based on whether a driver finishes within the stated places.
- Winning constructor, where the selected team must provide the race winner.
- Safety car appearance, which is settled according to whether a safety car is deployed under the market rules.
F1 qualifying betting is settled separately from the race. A driver can take pole and fail to win the Grand Prix, or start further back and still win on Sunday.
During selected races, live markets can include updated winner, podium and head-to-head prices. The odds may change after a pit stop, retirement, penalty, safety car or change in the running order. Betting can also pause while an incident is reviewed or the result is updated.
If you plan to bet across several sessions, decide on one limit for the complete weekend before practice begins. Stakes on qualifying or Sprint markets should come from the same amount set aside for the Grand Prix. London.bet is for adults aged 18 and over. Deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion are explained in our safer gambling section.
What is F1 championship betting?
Formula One betting can cover the complete season as well as individual races. F1 championship betting is divided between two titles. The Drivers' Championship concerns the driver who wins the individual title. The Constructors' Championship is based on the points scored by both race drivers for each team.
These outrights are independent of Grand Prix markets. F1 winner odds for the next race are not the same as the price for that driver to win the championship. F1 championship odds can move after every round as the points gap, car performance and number of races remaining change. Check that a season selection names the intended driver or constructor before confirming it.
Why do odds on Formula 1 change?
Odds on Formula 1 can move throughout a race weekend as new information becomes available. Practice can show how a car behaves over short and long runs, but teams may use different fuel loads, tyres and programmes. Qualifying confirms the initial grid order, while penalties can alter where a driver starts.
The circuit affects which details carry the most weight. Monaco places added importance on qualifying because overtaking is difficult. British Grand Prix betting at Silverstone may be influenced by high-speed performance and changeable weather, while the long straights at Monza make straight-line speed particularly relevant. Abu Dhabi comes late in the season, so its race odds can also reflect the championship position.
Before using F1 betting tips, check whether the analysis concerns a race winner, qualifying, a driver matchup or the championship. Recent results, upgrades, reliability, expected weather, starting position and possible grid penalties do not affect every market in the same way. None of these factors makes an outcome certain.
How do you place a Formula 1 bet at London.bet?
Open the Formula 1 schedule and choose a Grand Prix or championship market. Selecting a price adds the driver or constructor, market name, stake and possible return to the bet slip. Review those details before confirming that your bet covers qualifying, the Sprint, the race or the full season.
For other sports shaped by races or multi-day events, London.bet also has cycling betting and golf betting.
